NSS
National service scheme is an Indian government sponsored program under the department of “youth affairs and sports” of government of India. The main aim of NSS is to involve students in social service or community service whole heartedly. NSS of our college under the guidance of Alagappa University function from 1997-98. The motto is “Healthy youth for Healthy India” Every year special camp was organized in a village for seven days. Medical camps, spiritual programs, special lecture by experts, tree plantation programs, competitions for children in nearby villages and cultural activities are conducted by the NSS unit of the college. There are 3 NSS unit functioning in our college
Silambam
Every week we conduct silmbam class in our college. More than 50 students learn silambam. Silambam is a good form of cardio workout that improves blood circulation and heart function. It burns calories. Silambam helps in weight reduction and shaping of body, releives mental stress, laziness and fatigue. It improves body flexibility and reflexive movement of joints and muscles.
Yoga
We have yoga classes every week in our college. Yoga master give the practice of different types of yogas to the students. Yoga brings the body and mind together and is built on three main elements movement, breathing and Meditation. Yoga has many physical and mental health benefits including improved posture, flexibility, strength, balance and body awareness.
Car Driving
Car driving classes conduct in our college at every semester. Many students learn car driving and get both two wheeler and four wheeler license. Driving grows our brain, helps to manage multiple tasks, develop neuroplasticity and offers mobility. Student driving offers independence, privacy, and security
Type Writing
Type writing practice give to our college students. Nearly 50 students learn type writing class in our college. Typing properly can save us a lot of time . Programming, writing essays and performing a lot of different work uniformly. Typing improve overall communication skills by being able to type correctly and efficiently. Students will communicate their ideas more efficiently in type writing
